2026 Asset Institute Annual Forum & QUT Energy Transition Centre Symposium: Reliability, Resilience, and Renewal: Navigating Asset Decisions in the Energy Transition

Thursday 13 November 2026 · 08:00–18:00 AEST · Room Three Sixty, Y-Block, QUT

The energy transition is reshaping the physical asset base — ageing thermal plant is being pushed well beyond its design life, while new wind, solar and storage assets bring maintenance challenges we’re only beginning to understand. Join the Asset Institute and the QUT Energy Transition Centre for a full day bringing the asset management and energy communities together to tackle a shared question: how do we keep supply secure, reliable and affordable through the transition, for both new and existing assets?

Expect keynote addresses, shorter talks and a plenary panel across five cross-sector themes — from managing “post-prime” legacy assets to O&M of renewables and workforce capability — plus a networking lunch and the chance to connect with peers from industry, government and academia. Open to members and guests: senior managers, policy makers, operators, consultants, academics and government.
